Boys & Girls Clubs of Harrisburg's work has been recognized by leading corporations locally and regionally. These caring corporate citizens have partnered with us to find innovative ways to help Harrisburg's young people reach their full potential.

We personally know the potential of our youth as parents, family and friends, but also understand our corporate partners are involved closely and have the utmost confidence in supporting our programs. We want to thank The Salvation Army - Harrisburg Capital City Region for your support.

WHO WE ARE

The Salvation Army Harrisburg provides diverse programs, including basic needs assistance, self-sufficiency mentoring, workforce development, choice shopping food pantry, Family Table nutrition education, youth programs, and emergency disaster services.

Our programs focus on meeting needs of body, mind and spirit without discrimination.

The Salvation Army is far more than red kettles and thrift stores. Take a fresh look at The Salvation Army and learn how you can help transform lives by doing the most good in your community.

WHETHER IT’S A WARM BLANKET ON A DISPLACED FAMILY or a listening ear to a struggling mother- hope and healing is the message of The Salvation Army. Since 1885, The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region has been providing programs that meet the needs of mind, body, and spirit of those we serve. People given purpose, hearts given hope and souls finding redemption-this has been our mission for more than a century.

Today, through over 3,500 service centers in the eastern region of the United States, The Army’s spiritual and social services assist millions of homeless, working poor, children, youth, addicted, elderly, and abused families and individuals.

The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region offers 11 different programs that benefit over 23,000 individuals ranging from the summer youth enrichment program, after school activities, choice shopping food pantry, basketball mentoring programs, and self-sufficiency case management. At Christmas we serve over 1,500 households, including over 4,000 children sharing Christ’s love, hope and compassion for our neighbors in need.

The Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg would like to thank the entire The Salvation Army - Harrisburg Capital City Region team for their love and support of our organization. Youth are 38% more likely to believe that school work is meaningful when they have an optimal Club Experience. This is according to BGCA youth outcome data. This is a main factor of why our partners believe in us and more importantly they believe in the future of our Harrisburg Youth.
